LPI 新增开源人才推荐服务
（美国，加州，三藩市，2006年8月16日) – 全球最大的Linux认证组织LPI (Linux Professional Institute), (http://www.lpi.org), 今天宣布了一项新的服务业务，即为在LPI考试登记取得LPI ID的开源人才提供工作岗位推荐服务。这一服务将向符合用人单位的要求的IT开源专业人员提供相应工作岗位机会。这一服务将在北美洲、拉丁美洲、中国、印度和德国首先开展。
LPI 主席兼首席执行官Jim Lacey先生表示：“这一服务是应全球财富100的IT公司的需求而设计的。LPI 是全球公认的高质量，高技能的开源IT人才的认证机构。 LPI的认证以专注于技能和专业知识而著名，而并非以软件销售和使用培训为目的。因此我们在全球各地不断得到企业和机构的大量询问，希望聘用高技能的开源人才。这一服务因此应运而生。”Lacey先生同时指出，我们选择了一些地区先行开展这一服务，是因为这些地区的LPI内部服务软硬件已经具备条件，LPI同时将进一步加紧努力将这一服务扩展到其他地区。
Lacey 先生进一步指出这是一个开源专业人士的人才库。目前这一服务将首先推荐取得LPIC认证的专业人员，但同时也欢迎广大开源人士注册取得LPI ID，并提供您的相应的技能文件。 这一服务对申请者来说将遵循完全自愿的原则，目的是为广大人事经理、用人单位、机构日益增长的高技能开源IT人才提供服务。Lacey 先生是在三藩市的LinuxWorld 会展期间，在由Prosoft 培训中心和Thomson Prometric 共同举行的LPIC学友招待会上宣布这一服务的。

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is an internationally recognized, vendor-independent organization advocating and assisting the professional use of Linux, Open Source and Free Software, through the certification of Linux professionals.
