i have download the software " simun-ttf-2.10-1dyna.noarch.rpm".
but i can't open and install it !
if someboad can tell me ,thank you for your help!!
i use the command:
rpm  -hiv simun-ttf-2.10-1dyna.noarch.rpm
it says :no such file or directory
can you help me,waiting for your answer.....

no, it's not the typing error .
i have typed the command:rpm -hiv simsun-ttf-2.10-1dyna.noarch.rpm
but it says:
error:cannot get exclusive lock on /var/lib/rpm/Packages
error:cannot open Packages index using db3 - Operation not permitted (1)
error:cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm

how can i use the simsun-ttf-2.10-1dyna.noarch.rpm?

好象是权限问题吧，你是用root装的吗？

你可真是Linux资深社员，让你给说对了，我没有用root身份去rpm。高手就是不一样！！
but：
     我安装了simsun和fictx（五笔），可是我以前没有用过五笔，早忘了，在windows2000下用紫光。能推荐一下linux下的拼音输入法吗？最好是介绍了如何安装的。
